High Capacity Tomato Concentrate Processing for Export Grade Tomato Paste
The Industrial Tomato Paste Production Line is a large-scale, high-capacity processing system designed for commercial tomato paste manufacturers supplying the food ingredient industry. This line is engineered to process hundreds of tons of fresh tomatoes per day, producing concentrated tomato paste that serves as the base for ketchup, pasta sauces, pizza toppings, soups, and packaged food products worldwide. Unlike small-scale or medium-scale lines, this industrial configuration emphasizes continuous operation, energy efficiency, and fully automated control.
Our industrial tomato paste line handles the complete workflow from truck receiving, flume washing, sorting, hot or cold break, double-stage refining, multi-effect evaporation, tubular sterilization, to aseptic bag filling and drum handling. The line is available in capacities ranging from 50 to 500 tons of fresh tomatoes per day, with final paste concentrations adjustable from 28 to 42 degrees Brix.
Why Choose Our Industrial Tomato Paste Line
Large volume tomato processing demands equipment that runs reliably for long periods with minimal downtime. Our industrial line features heavy-duty construction, redundant pumps, and automated cleaning cycles that allow continuous operation during the seasonal harvest window. The multi-effect evaporation system uses three to seven effects, significantly reducing steam consumption per ton of finished paste compared to single-effect evaporators.
The hot break and cold break options give you control over the final product viscosity. Hot break, operating at 85 to 95 degrees Celsius, produces a thicker paste with higher viscosity suitable for ketchup and pizza sauce. Cold break, operating at 60 to 70 degrees Celsius, produces a thinner, more flowable paste with a fresher tomato taste. Both configurations can be integrated into the same line with adjustable process parameters.
The aseptic bag filling system handles drum sizes from 50kg to 300kg, filling under sterile conditions without preservatives. The filled paste can be stored at ambient temperature for up to 24 months, making it ideal for export to international markets. The line includes automatic drum handling equipment that transports, seals, and palletizes filled drums without manual intervention.
Quality control sensors are integrated throughout the line. Inline Brix meters continuously monitor concentration levels. Colorimeters measure tomato red color intensity. Metal detectors and X-ray inspection units ensure product safety. All data is recorded and accessible through the central control system for full traceability.
Processing Stages
Fresh tomatoes arrive in bulk trucks and are unloaded into a flume washing system that removes field heat and surface debris. An inspection conveyor allows workers to remove unripe, damaged, or moldy fruits. The tomatoes pass through a crusher and preheater before entering the hot break or cold break system, depending on the target product viscosity. The double-stage finisher removes skins and seeds, producing a smooth puree that enters the multi-effect evaporator.
The evaporator operates under vacuum, boiling tomato juice at lower temperatures to preserve color and flavor while removing water. The concentrated paste reaches the desired Brix level as it passes through successive evaporator effects. A tubular sterilizer heats the paste to kill spoilage organisms before it enters the aseptic buffer tank. Finally, the sterile paste is filled into sterilized bags inside drums, sealed, and automatically palletized for warehouse storage.
